Village Loulé

Alte

A whitewashed village folded into the hills of the Loulé interior, often held up as one of the prettiest in the Algarve. Its springs, the Fonte Pequena and Fonte Grande, run all year under old trees and stone picnic tables, and after the rains the Queda do Vigário waterfall drops over a travertine ledge a short walk away. The lanes above the church keep the chimneys, tiles and pace of the old barrocal.
