Fire Room

Fire Room brings the South African braai to the Algarve. Run from the Zona Industrial de Loulé by the team behind Agua Choca, it sells the real thing: built-in and freestanding braais, wood-burning fireplaces for indoor and outdoor rooms, cast iron potjies, jaffle irons, grids and racks, and the tongs and gloves that go with them. The range runs from a tabletop charcoal insert to the Entertainer built-in braais in three widths and the 800 Hex freestanding fireplace, with cabinets and cowls to match, so an outdoor kitchen or a fireplace wall can be planned end to end. Hardwood arrives by the pallet, Sekelbos and Kameeldoring, the dense woods that give a braai its long, steady heat, alongside reusable fire starters, Safari and Spiceologist rubs, breakfast filter coffee and a line of caps, hoodies and T-shirts. Fire Room is also home to Ignea, its own craft beer range brewed in Portugal: a Lager, an IPA and a Weiss, collected from Loulé. Braais and fireplaces are supplied by quote and can be fitted as part of a build or renovation; the smaller pieces are sold from the unit. Phone or email first, as there are no fixed shop hours.
