Olhão's Festival do Marisco turns the riverside Jardim Pescador Olhanense into a giant open air restaurant for six nights, with stalls serving prawns, crab, clams and other seafood pulled straight from the Ria Formosa, alongside meat and vegetarian options. It has been voted among Europe's best summer food festivals and remains one of the Algarve's biggest gastronomic draws. The 2026 edition runs from 10 to 15 August, open nightly from 7.30pm to 1.30am, with a different headline act each evening including Matias Damásio, Calema, Mariza and Daniela Mercury, concerts starting around 11pm. Daily tickets cover entry and entertainment, with food and drink paid for separately at the stalls. Prices step up on the two busiest nights. Tickets are sold on site and through Ticketline.
