What to expect
Bulldog Buggies' standard tour runs 2 hours from the operator's base at Ponte Cajadinhos, on the EN124 near Silves, through the surrounding forest trails, rolling hills and lake routes. Buggies are fully automatic and easy to drive, with a full safety introduction given before setting off; only a valid driving licence is required, with no prior off-road experience needed.
A second driver is included on every buggy so guests can swap halfway through the tour, and the price covers dust goggles, a dust mask and insurance. Guests can add a traditional Portuguese Menu do Dia (food and a drink) after the tour, on request and at extra cost.
Bulldog Buggies is multilingual, with guides speaking Dutch, English, German and French, and is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm.
