On 28 August 2026 at 22:00, Largo Sebastiao Martins Mestre becomes an open air stage for 200 anos em movimento, a participatory videomapping spectacle marking 200 years since Olhao's municipal council was founded. Images are projected onto the town hall building, revisiting moments from the municipality's history including its first council meeting. Created by Atelier Teatro de Rua, the show combines professional actors with members of the local community, drawing on material from the Municipal Archive. Free and open to the public, it is one of the headline moments of Olhao's bicentenary year, alongside concerts and exhibitions across the municipality's parishes.
