Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Lagos

The Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Lagos is one of the Algarve's oldest fire corporations, founded on 24 July 1886 and based on Rua dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Lagos. The fire station operates 24 hours a day, with a separate secretariat line for membership and administrative matters, covering fire fighting, rescue and patient transport across the Lagos council area. As a humanitarian association it relies on membership, donations and municipal support, and also runs its own training (formação) programme. In an emergency, always call 112.
