Lagoa Jazz Fest has run since 2003 and has hosted more than 250 musicians from countries including Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Japan and the United States. The 2026 edition is its 21st, staged as always in the Parque Municipal do Sítio das Fontes at Estômbar, a shaded riverside park that doubles as an open-air amphitheatre for the festival. Gates open at 18:30 each evening, with the main concert on the amphitheatre stage at 22:00 and a late set on the Lounge Stage afterwards. Artistic direction is by Joaquim Andrés and António Palma, who curate a mix of ensemble formats across the three nights. Tickets are sold through the municipality's own ticketing platform. It is one of the longest-running jazz festivals in the Algarve and a fixture for regulars who come back year after year for the setting as much as the music.
