Clínica de Edifícios has been diagnosing building pathologies in the Algarve since it opened in mid-2010, and the company says it has now completed more than 3,000 pathology diagnostics for clients ranging from individual homeowners and condominium management to hotel groups, lawyers, and public and private institutions. The name (building clinic) reflects the approach: treat a building's problems the way a hospital treats a patient, starting with a rigorous diagnosis before recommending a repair. The technical team, led by engineers Tiago Pereira and José Santos with Luís Rodrigues running the commercial side, uses specialist equipment (thermal cameras, moisture meters, hygrometers, pipe-inspection cameras, pressurised network testers, sound meters, rebar detectors, multi-level lasers and concrete hammers) to find the source of water infiltration and structural problems without destructive testing. Core services include water pathology diagnosis (leak and infiltration detection in supply networks, drains, and pools), structural pathology diagnosis (cracks, reinforced concrete and masonry defects), building pathology surveys, and specifications and bills of quantities for repair works. Beyond diagnostics, Clínica de Edifícios carries out property valuations (market value reports, home surveys and licensing coordination), conflict management and judicial expert reports, and plumbing and drainage work including CCTV pipe inspections and condominium maintenance contracts. The company is based in Parchal (Lagoa) and works across the Algarve, with a particular focus on the Barlavento towns of Faro, Portimão, Lagos, Albufeira, Loulé, Tavira, Olhão, Quarteira and Armação de Pêra.
