Claim A Noite, by José Saramago to manage it, add photos and tickets, and list it under your business. It is free.
A Noite is the only play José Saramago ever wrote, set in a Lisbon newsroom on the night of 24 April 1974, hours before the Carnation Revolution. Editor Manuel Torres finds his commitment to reporting the truth colliding with an editorial hierarchy still answering to the old regime, and the tension in the room builds alongside the events unfolding outside on the streets. Yellow Star Company's touring production, adapted and directed by Paulo Sousa Costa, stars Diogo Morgado as Torres alongside Jorge Corrula, João Didelet, Luís Pacheco, Elsa Galvão and Sara Cecília. It runs around 90 minutes with a short interval. The play reaches Lagoa's Auditório Carlos do Carmo for one night only, at 21:30. Tickets cost 12 euros, with a discount for Passaporte Cultural holders, and are sold through Bilheteira Online and the usual outlets in the municipality.
