Vale Verde International School

Vale Verde International School (VVIS) is a Cambridge and Pearson international school in Luz-Lagos, teaching students of 27 nationalities. The school describes itself as one of Europe's few true bilingual primary schools, integrating part of the Portuguese curriculum into the Cambridge International Primary programme while maintaining full English provision, with extra English lessons for second-language speakers. VVIS reports 20 years of operation, a 98% university progression rate among leavers, 24 qualified teachers holding at least a Bachelor's degree, and a teacher-to-student ratio of 7.5. Alongside the academic curriculum, the school includes compulsory, non-examined PE, and Theatre, Art and Music programmes.
