Pomar Coliving

POMAR Coliving occupies a renovated 19th-century farmhouse on a 15-acre family apricot orchard near Estoi, just outside Faro. The name comes from the Portuguese word for orchard, and the project began in 2021 when French-Portuguese co-founder Claire, who fell in love with Portugal while studying in Lisbon in 2011, left a decade of agency and consulting work in Paris and Lyon to rebuild the abandoned farmhouse with her partner and co-founder Hadrien. Since opening, more than 250 colivers have stayed at POMAR. POMAR Base, the original and flagship location, offers five ensuite bedrooms for up to ten guests. Every room comes with a dedicated workstation, ergonomic chair, monitor and 1 Gbps wifi, and the stay includes weekly housekeeping, a fully equipped kitchen, use of the bikes, an indoor gym, and a jacuzzi and ice bath. The minimum stay is one month, with prices starting at EUR 1,000 per month. Add-on extras include yoga sessions at EUR 12 per person, guided ice baths at EUR 8 per person, stand-up paddle rental at EUR 25 per day and airport or station transfers from EUR 30. Claire, on site four days a week, leads the community side of things: Monday family meetings, guided ice-bath sessions for post-laptop recovery, and weekly family-style dinners using orchard-fresh produce and local wine. POMAR also runs a second, smaller seasonal location, POMAR na Praia, a beachside coliving open from October to April for longer stays. Both locations are aimed squarely at entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote workers who want deep-work focus alongside the Algarve's 300-plus days of sunshine a year.
