Palacio de Tavira

Palacio de Tavira opened in summer 2025 in an 18th-century palace on Praca Dr. Antonio Padinha, in the historic centre of Tavira. It is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and is rated as a 5-star hotel, split across 36 guestrooms in two wings: the original palacio and an adjoining new-build wing called the Medina. The hotel balances the building's Moorish heritage with modern additions, including two rooftop swimming pools with views over the town, a spa, and the Mirsal restaurant serving Portuguese cuisine built around fresh, local ingredients. There is also a bar for guests and visitors staying for drinks rather than a full meal. Palacio de Tavira takes bookings through its own reservations system and publishes its own photography of the pools, rooms and public spaces, alongside links to its Instagram and Facebook pages.
