Casa Amor Olhao

Casa Amor is a ten-room boutique hotel in the old fishermen's quarter of Olhao, set inside a townhouse built in 1870 by Dr Padua, a local doctor, musician, conductor and mayor after whom the street is now named. The restoration kept the building's nineteenth-century character: whitewashed walls, exposed stone, platibanda roof edges typical of the Algarve, a century-old olive tree in the white patio and the original red doors. Rooms are split across Classic, Premium Patio and Premium Rua categories. On the roof, a 350 square metre terrace holds a chlorine-free saltwater pool heated to 25 degrees Celsius in cooler months, looking out over the old town and its two churches. Downstairs there is a dining room set beneath hundred-year-old vaults and a winter lounge. Casa Amor also runs a street-level coffee shop serving French pastries and delicatessen items, open to the public since 2022, plus a small art gallery that hosts local events and can be hired for business seminars in winter. The in-house restaurant is open to non-guests and focuses on seasonal, locally sourced cooking. Bookings run through the hotel's own GuestCentric reservation system.
