Nobel Algarve British International School

Nobel Algarve British International School teaches a British curriculum across two campuses, in Almancil and in Lagoa, for students from Nursery through to Year 13. The Lagoa campus has been providing an international education in the region since 1972 and has since expanded, while the Almancil campus is a newer, purpose-built site surrounded by green space. Both campuses follow the National Curriculum for England, leading to IGCSE examinations at Years 10 and 11. From there, Almancil students choose between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and BTEC diplomas, while Lagoa students choose between A-Levels and BTEC diplomas. Lagoa also runs a parallel Portuguese National Curriculum pathway, structured as a Bilingual Pre-School followed by 1º to 3º Ciclos and Ensino Secundário, for families who want their children to sit Portuguese qualifications alongside or instead of the English pathway. Nobel Algarve is part of the Globeducate Network, a group of more than 65 international schools worldwide, and sits within Globeducate's British International Schools (GBIS) cluster, a set of private international schools across Europe that teach the National Curriculum for England. Membership gives students access to shared sporting, cultural and academic events and international exchange opportunities across the network. Beyond the classroom, the school runs a Viva HUB after-school activities programme and offers the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme. Enrolment and admissions run separately for each campus, with open days and private visits bookable through the school's admissions department.
