Memmo Baleeira

Memmo Baleeira is a design hotel perched above Baleeira harbour in Sagres, inside the Costa Vicentina Natural Park at the far south-western tip of Portugal. The building's clean white architecture and pared-back interiors are built around the view: the working fishing harbour below, the Atlantic beyond, and the raw cliff coastline that has made Sagres a magnet for surfers and travellers drawn to the edge of Europe. Rooms run across eleven categories, from Double Land View rooms through to the Premium One Bedroom Suite with frontal sea view, with standard doubles of 22 to 25 square metres and buffet breakfast included in every stay. The in-house Fornaria restaurant, led by Chef Diogo Ferreira, centres on slow-cooked oven dishes and handmade pizzas, serving breakfast from 07:30 to 11:00 and lunch and dinner from 12:00 to 22:00, with the bar open until midnight and a pool bar running through the afternoon. The wellness side pairs an outdoor pool with a spa that includes a full massage menu and a thermal suite with sauna, steam room and heated indoor pool, plus a gym. The hotel also programmes its own cultural calendar, from the Oceanic Short Film Festival to Movement Sessions, and offers guest experiences such as coastal bike rides.
