Le Club Gourmet

Le Club Gourmet is a private chef and catering service run by Frederic Duval (named on the business's own logo and site), based in Albufeira. The chef's own site describes a career cooking and running kitchens at a high level across four countries, with fine dining and Michelin guide experience in critically acclaimed restaurants, brought to private catering in the Algarve with what the business calls 'a hint of French flair'. The service covers events of any size, from a business lunch or barbecue to a wedding, cocktail reception or birthday party, with bespoke menus built around each client's tastes. For smaller gatherings, Le Club Gourmet's 'intimate catering' brings restaurant-quality food into a client's own home or holiday home, with the chef handling the shopping, cooking, service and clean-up. The published sample menu runs across starters, mains, desserts and tapas, with dishes such as seabass cured in gin with buckwheat tuile and pistachios, monkfish piri piri with lemon risotto and crispy samphire, lamb best end with spaetzle and chorizo, and a chocolate moelleux with salted caramel sauce and an Oreo crust.
