The Loulé Municipal Galleries, in collaboration with the Alfaia Association, present the exhibition *Girl, it’s not that deep*, featuring the artists Beatriz Brum, Isabel Medeiros and Maria Moderno, and curated by Jesse James. Building on an artist-in-residence programme carried out in Loulé, Lisbon and Ponta Delgada, and a shared experience at the Loulé Salt Mine, the exhibition explores different ways of engaging with that which transcends human experience. Through processes of crystallisation, practices of protection, affective cartographies and cosmological speculations, the works on display explore forms of orientation, care and rebalancing in the face of different temporalities, belief systems and ways of imagining the world.
