Ferragudo's fishing village patron saint festival, with mass, a river procession blessing the boats and an evening street party.

Claim Festa em Honra de Nossa Senhora da Conceição to manage it, add photos and tickets, and list it under your business. It is free.
Ferragudo's Festa em Honra de Nossa Senhora da Conceição is the fishing village's biggest date of the year, an annual four-day celebration of its patron saint that peaks on 15 August. It is a genuinely local event, built around the fishing community rather than staged for visitors, though everyone is welcome. The centrepiece is a solemn mass at the parish church followed by a procession through Ferragudo's streets carrying the image of the patroness, which then continues onto the Arade river to bless the fishing boats as it passes, accompanied by the Portimonense Philharmonic Band. The day closes with an arraial in the village centre, with music and fireworks over the river. Expect narrow streets to be busy and some roads closed for the procession route.
