Restaurante Dos Artistas

Restaurante dos Artistas is a restaurant in the historic centre of Lagos, at Rua Cândido dos Reis 68, set in a restored building with more than 250 years of history. It opened in 2000 and has since become a well known name for visitors to the Algarve, serving contemporary dishes built on local Algarve produce, from fresh seafood to seasonal vegetables and regional meats, alongside ingredients and spices from further afield. The kitchen is led by Head Chef Robson Otto Reiter, born in 1990 in Minas Gerais, Brazil, who has worked in professional kitchens for 14 years and has been part of the team since 2018. His career includes spells at the Anantara Resort in Vilamoura, Restaurante Sabores da Sé in Faro, Hotel Madrid Bierzo and Restaurante Floriana in Ponferrada, and he now leads a multicultural kitchen team producing meat, fish, seafood, vegetarian and vegan dishes. The restaurant takes reservations, hosts groups and private events, and sells gift vouchers. It is open Monday to Saturday for lunch (12h00 to 14h00, only between 1 November and 30 April) and dinner (18h30 to 22h00, all year), and is closed on Sundays.
