Kiteschool Portugal (legally Oceano Vedeta - Unipessoal Lda, tourism operator licence Alvará 323/2017) is based at the Ocean Spirits Lodge guesthouse in Burgau, between Lagos and Sagres, and runs kitesurfing lessons, stand up paddleboard tours and surf coaching along the coast between Lagos, Burgau, Salema and Zavial. Kitesurfing tuition takes place on the flatwater lagoon at Alvor, using VDWS and IKO certified instructors and new equipment from North Kiteboarding, for guests aged 14 to 75. Its SUP Grotto and Secret Beach tour explores the sea caves, pinnacles and hidden beaches around Lagos, departing early for calm water and good light (EUR 50 per person for a 2 hour tour and tuition, meeting at Praia Dona Ana). Other SUP options include a Secret Caves tour in the Costa Vicentina natural park (EUR 50 per person, 2 hours), a SUP Lake Tour on the freshwater Barragem de Bravura (EUR 50 per person, minimum 3 people, 2 hours) and a SUP River Tour on the Rio de Aljezur (EUR 65 per person, minimum 3 people, 3 hours), plus SUP-Yoga sessions. Every SUP tour includes an experienced guide, board, paddle and wetsuit if needed, lifejackets, tuition and pickup from Burgau, Luz or Lagos, with pickups further afield on request. The Ocean Spirits Lodge also offers on-site accommodation for guests who want to combine kite, SUP or surf activities with a stay in Burgau.
