Bon Bon

Bon Bon sits between Carvoeiro, Lagoa and Ferragudo, looking out over the Monchique mountain range, and has held one Michelin star since November 2015. The restaurant is run day to day by owner, maitre d' and sommelier Nuno Diogo, with executive chef Jose Lopes leading the kitchen. Lopes builds his menu around bringing lost Algarvian traditions back to the table, working with local producers and adding a contemporary edge to classic regional dishes, including creations that nod to his grandmother's Indian heritage. The dining room keeps a smart-casual dress code and a relaxed, unfussy service style that stands in contrast to some of the region's more formal Michelin tables. Bon Bon is open for lunch from 12:00 to 14:00 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and for dinner from 19:00 to 21:00, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Reservations are taken by phone, WhatsApp or email. Note: the restaurant's own site prints its postcode as 8400-010, while its Google Maps directions link points to 8400-525 Carvoeiro, a discrepancy we have left as found rather than guessing which is correct.
