Al-Lagar by Casa Santos Lima

Al-Lagar is the Tavira wine tourism venue of Casa Santos Lima, a Portuguese wine producer now in its fifth generation, founded in the late 19th century and today working across seven Portuguese wine regions with exports to more than 60 countries. The venue is set in Santiago de Tavira, on Estrada M1341, inside a restored 19th-century wine press. The space combines a wine bar and tasting room in the old press building, a separate Watermill House used for smaller private events, and an outdoor Vineyard Patio for larger gatherings. Al-Lagar offers guided wine tastings, light wine-pairing meals and vineyard tours, alongside a retail shop selling Casa Santos Lima wines. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am to 7.30pm, closed Sundays, Mondays and on 25 December and 1 January. Visits and tastings are arranged by phone or email with the Tavira team.
