After two editions of Teatro de Palha in 2022 and 2023, this event is a hallmark of Lavrar o Mar’s programming and one of Aljezur’s main tourism assets. The Teatro da Palha (“Straw Theatre") is an ephemeral, open-air “building” made entirely of straw. A theatre that is itself a unique example of land art in Portugal, an object of curiosity and attention, and a destination for those who want to experience and walk through the “building.” The space is also occupied by multidisciplinary artistic programming for five weeks in June and July.
