About this event

Portimão hosts round five of Portugal's National Beach Volleyball Circuit, bringing the country's top ranked men's and women's pairs to the sand at Praia da Rocha for three days of two-a-side competition. Pool matches, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals run across the weekend on courts set up on the town's sports beach area. The stage is one of the most competitive of the season, coming a week before the circuit's grand final in Albufeira, so pairs are fighting for ranking points and a place in the title decider. Entry is free and spectators can watch from the sand around the show court.
