Vet Albufeira

Vet Albufeira (Clínica Veterinária de Albufeira) is a veterinary clinic that opened on 5 December 2009, taking over from the earlier Clínica Veterinária Arca de Noé, founded by Dr. Paulo Correia in 2005. The clinic occupies purpose-built premises of around 2,300 square metres, including private gardens and parking, and treats cats and dogs. The clinical team offers general and specialist consultations, including cardiology and radiology, alongside general and orthopaedic surgery. The clinic also provides minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques as an alternative to traditional surgery, both for routine procedures such as spaying and neutering and for diagnostic work such as biopsies, with faster recovery and less post-operative pain than open surgery. Further services include vaccinations, rigid endoscopy, hospitalisation, an in-house clinical analysis laboratory, and a small pet shop. Since February 2019 the clinic no longer runs an in-person emergency service; a telephone support line remains available outside opening hours, and urgent cases are referred to partner hospitals in Faro and Portimão. Regular opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00, and Saturday, 10:00 to 13:00.
