Teatro Municipal António Pinheiro

The Teatro Municipal António Pinheiro reopened its doors to Tavira and the wider region after a long requalification project, restoring one of the town's most emblematic cultural spaces. The theatre runs a year-round programme built around several strands: Acolhimento, Cenas na Rua, Cinema, Dança & Circo Contemporâneo, Jazz em Tavira, Mediação e Comunidade & Exposição, Ópera & Música, Teatro & Stand Up, Teatro Fora de Portas and Visitas Guiadas, aimed at all ages and audiences. The programme mixes touring companies with local productions; listings on the theatre's own site include the ballet O Quebra-Nozes (The Nutcracker), performed by the Ballet Clásico Internacional. Tickets and general enquiries are handled separately, with a dedicated box office ('bilheteira') email alongside the theatre's general contact address.
