Laranjal (Octant Vila Monte)

Laranjal is the flagship restaurant at Octant Vila Monte (Vila Monte Farm House), a farmhouse hotel at Sitio dos Calicos in Moncarapacho, named for the orange trees that line its courtyard. The kitchen is led by chef David Domingues, who builds the menu around local, seasonal Algarve ingredients with an emphasis on simplicity. In warmer months the restaurant shifts to a more relaxed register of tapas, seafood and grilled dishes served in the orange-tree courtyard, alongside its main Mediterranean-influenced menu. Laranjal sits within the wider Vila Monte estate, which also includes the separate A Terra restaurant. Laranjal takes reservations by phone or email through the hotel's own booking system, and is open to guests staying at the estate as well as outside diners.
