Quinta do Francês Winery

Quinta do Francês is a family run winery on 8 hectares in the Odelouca river valley, near Silves. The estate produces three ranges, Odelouca (wines of terroir), Quinta do Francês (its superior range) and Ianthis (its prestige range), in red, white and rosé styles. A one hour Guided Tour and Tasting takes visitors through the vineyard, the winery and the oak barrel cellar before finishing with a commented tasting of three wines, Odelouca Blanc, Quinta do Francês rosé and Odelouca Rouge, for EUR 15 per adult (children visit free). Optional tapas platters of charcuterie, cheese and crackers are available for EUR 6.50 per person. Tastings alone range from a Simple Tasting of three wines (EUR 8) to a Complete Tasting of all eight wines in the range (EUR 26.40), with a Custom Tasting also available. The winery is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:30 between 23 March and 15 November, and Monday to Friday during the rest of the year (closed public holidays and 24 December to 3 January). Visits are recommended by reservation through the winery's contact form, phone or email, though walk-ins are accommodated when possible.
