Pizzeria Casavostra

Pizzeria Casavostra has been serving Almancil since 2003, and describes itself as the Algarve's premier Italian restaurant. The kitchen is built around thin-crust pizzas, made in a wood-fired oven, alongside fresh pasta and other wood-fired dishes, with gluten-free and vegetarian options listed on the menu. Much of the produce comes from the restaurant's own garden, less than a kilometre away. The wine list runs to Portuguese wines from two family-owned vineyards, the Cálem family in the Douro and the Louro family in the Alentejo, alongside a small selection of Italian wines including Chianti Classico and Pinot Grigio. In the same building, diners will find Casavostra Home, a sister interiors and lifestyle shop the restaurant has worked alongside since 2011. Sustainability runs through the business: solar panels supply 30 to 50 percent of the restaurant's energy, food waste is composted for use in the garden, and surplus staff meals are distributed to families in need through a partnership with Refood. This work was recognised with first place in the Sustainability category at the 2024 Algarve Business Awards. Pizzeria Casavostra is open every day from 12:00 to 23:00, takes bookings online, by phone or by WhatsApp, and keeps active Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, YouTube and LinkedIn accounts.
