O Marinheiro

O Marinheiro is a restaurant and cocktail bar near Praia da Coelha, in Sesmarias on the western edge of Albufeira, serving contemporary Mediterranean cooking since 1995. Dinner is served across two named dining rooms, the Sala do Capitão and the Sailor's Room, with a terrace outside and a wine cellar stocked with a large Portuguese selection. The menu is published with prices. Starters run EUR 5 to EUR 12, including croquettes at EUR 8, Caesar salad at EUR 10 and octopus carpaccio at EUR 11. Mains run EUR 18 to EUR 32, among them salmon at EUR 23, cod tempura at EUR 24, polvo à lagareiro at EUR 25, a Wagyu burger at EUR 26, ribeye at EUR 30 and tornedó at EUR 32. For two people there is a 1 kg Tomahawk at EUR 75, and the cocktail bar pours classics alongside the wine list. The restaurant opens Monday to Saturday from 18:30 to 23:30, and tables can be booked online through the reservation widget on the website.
