Glass House Algarve

Glass House Algarve is a stained glass studio near Almadena, in the Lagos countryside, run by artisan Liza, who has worked in the Tiffany copper-foil technique for many years from her Western Algarve workshop. The studio's main course is a 2-day Tiffany technique stained glass course, held from October to May, split into two 4-hour days. It costs EUR 125 per person, including all materials and a light lunch on both days, and students finish with their own stained glass piece of about 20 x 20cm. From June, the studio also runs glass-on-glass mosaic sessions using off-cuts from Liza's stained glass work: 3-hour sessions priced at EUR 25 per person, held outdoors under gazebos in summer and indoors in winter, for small groups of up to 6 people (minimum age 8). Beyond courses, Glass House Algarve repairs Tiffany technique windows and lamps and takes commissions for stained glass installations, windows, door panels and gifts.
