Edwina Shrimpton Law

Edwina Shrimpton da Luz is an independent lawyer working from offices in Lagos, providing legal representation across Portugal. Born in the Algarve, she studied law at the University of Wolverhampton in the UK and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at the University of the West of England, working afterwards at the English family law firm Benussi & Co. She returned to the Algarve in 2013 and qualified as a Portuguese lawyer (Advogada), registered with the Ordem dos Advogados. As a dual Portuguese-British national fluent in both English and Portuguese, Edwina works with local and foreign clients across property purchase and sale, conveyancing, wills and inheritance, probate, contracts (rental, employment, franchise and sale), fiscal representation and residency matters, Alojamento Local (short-term rental) licensing, civil law disputes, and legal translation. She shares her Lagos office with her mother, Danielle Shrimpton, a solicitor, giving clients access to a combined range of legal knowledge under one roof. The practice keeps regular office hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00, and takes enquiries by phone, email or contact form.
