CUF Alvor Hospital (Grupo HPA Saúde)

CUF Alvor Hospital opened in 1996 as the Hospital Particular do Algarve, the founding unit of Grupo HPA Saúde, and has grown into the region's flagship private hospital. Following the group's integration into CUF, Portugal's largest private healthcare network with 66 units nationwide, the hospital now operates under the combined CUF and Grupo HPA identity while keeping its base on the Estrada de Alvor, between Portimão and Alvor. The hospital runs a 24-hour urgent care service alongside a broad range of specialities: cardiology (including paediatric cardiology), general, vascular, obesity, plastic and neurosurgery, orthopaedics, oncology, obstetrics, paediatrics and ophthalmology, supported by an imaging department, an intensive care unit, a clinical laboratory, physiotherapy and dental care. Alvor is the flagship of a wider Algarve network that includes the Gambelas hospital in Faro (which holds JCI international accreditation), the São Camilo hospital in Portimão and private clinics across the region, from Guia (AlgarveShopping) and Vilamoura to Lagos, Vila Real de Santo António, São Brás de Alportel and Monchique.
