Cineteatro Louletano

Cineteatro Louletano is Loulé's municipal cine-theatre on Avenida José da Costa Mealha, run by Câmara Municipal de Loulé. Designed in 1925 and inaugurated in 1930, it is one of the most recognisable cultural buildings in the southern Algarve, seating 314 people across the stalls and two balconies (215 in the stalls, 46 on the first balcony, 49 on the second, plus 4 wheelchair-accessible spaces), with a traditional Italian-style stage and a first-floor bar that doubles as an intimate performance space. The venue runs a permanent seasonal programme covering theatre, music and dance alongside a dedicated cinema strand, including a recurring "Filme Francês do Mês" (French Film of the Month) screening. It has also hosted festivals such as Algarve Film Week and the Festa do Cinema Italiano, and runs education and community projects such as the Espectador Emancipado mediation programme with local associations.
