Isla Canela Links is an 18-hole, par 72 links-style course on the left bank of the Guadiana river in Ayamonte, Huelva, on the Spanish side of the border with the Algarve. Recently redesigned, the course now measures over 6,600 metres and looks out over the river mouth towards the Portuguese coast; it has featured on the Alps Tour and DP World Tour Q-School (Stage 2) and is listed among the top 100 golf resorts in continental Europe. The layout is flat and walkable, but wind, wide bunkers and undulating greens demand consistent strategy, from the par 5 1st (water to the right and a stream crossing the fairway around 100 metres from the green) to the closing par 5 18th, which bends left toward a well-guarded, elevated green. The Casa Club clubhouse holds a panoramic restaurant, cafeteria, terraces, golf shop, lockers and club storage; as of this review, the on-site restaurant, Thebussem Isla Canela Links, is temporarily closed. Practice facilities include a driving range with more than 15 grass tees next to the clubhouse, a putting green and a short game area with practice bunkers, and the golf school (run by Chris Truter) offers lessons for adults and children. Buggies are Ezgo and electric trolleys are Powakaddy, supplied through a partnership with local company Golf-Caddie. Published 2026 green fees for 18 holes run from EUR 90 (visitor desk rate) up to EUR 130 (rack rate), with a EUR 52 rate for guests of the Isla Canela Hotel & Apartments, an EUR 50 twilight rate from 15:00, and junior (under 15) and youth (under 30) rates of EUR 10 and EUR 30.
