Autódromo Internacional do Algarve

The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA) opened in November 2008 at Sítio do Escampadinho, near Mexilhoeira Grande in Portimão, and its first event was the grand finale of the FIM World Superbike Championship. The circuit is homologated by both FIA and FIM to host motoring and motorcycling competition at the highest level. The full F1-standard layout runs to 4,684 metres, with 3,204 metres of straights (68.3% of the lap) and 1,488 metres of corners, on a track 14 metres wide. There are 16 corners in total, nine right-handers and seven left-handers, with the tightest corner radius at 18 metres. The circuit can be reconfigured into 32 different layouts, from a short 3,465 metre version up to the full 4,684 metre F1 version, and the paddock covers 72,000 square metres alongside 42 pit garages of 135 square metres each. Track Days Auto let drivers bring their own car onto the circuit, guided by AIA Racing School instructors, with prices from EUR 330 and vouchers valid for a year, including as gifts. The circuit also hosts a full calendar of professional racing across the year, from the FIM World Superbike Championship to GT and touring car series.
