ASMAL - Associação de Saúde Mental do Algarve

ASMAL – Associação de Saúde Mental do Algarve is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity of public utility, founded in January 1991 and based in Loulé. Its stated mission is to provide high quality, professional services in the promotion of mental health, working across the whole Algarve region through education, training, support and social and professional integration for the people it serves. The association runs a Centro Qualifica, a state-recognised training and qualification centre, co-financed through the Algarve 2030 regional programme. ASMAL is accredited by DGERT as a training entity, is a founding member of FNERDM (the National Federation of Mental Illness Rehabilitation Entities), and sits on the Regional Mental Health Council of the Algarve. ASMAL is based at the Loteamento Industrial de Loulé, and publishes its annual activity reports and accounts for transparency.
