Alxama

Alxama, established in 2017, is a steakhouse and butcher shop ("Restaurante & Talho") at Rua Duas Sentinelas 64 in Quarteira. The concept runs from butcher to grill to table: meat is cut to order at the in-house butcher counter and grilled on the spot over natural pine wood rather than charcoal, a method the restaurant markets as more sustainable, healthier and better-tasting. The menu is built around dry-aged beef and Japanese Wagyu A5, alongside skewer-grilled meats, and the restaurant also sells cuts of meat to take home. The venue includes fireplace rooms for cooler evenings, a garden terrace, a large parking area with free electric vehicle charging, and is both pet-friendly and kid-friendly. Alxama takes groups and private events, including corporate functions, baptisms and weddings, runs an updated wine list, and accepts cash, card and Bitcoin as payment. Table reservations are handled through Alxama's own online booking system (ResDiary), and the restaurant can be reached directly by phone or email.
