  Algarve Tennis & Fitness Club opened in May 2015 as a year-round sports and wellness facility on Estrada Vale do Lobo, five minutes from the beach in the Golden Triangle between Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Almancil. Director Soren Hojbjerg has run the club since day one, building a multi-disciplinary team that covers tennis, padel, group fitness and traditional Chinese medicine under one roof. Tennis programme Eight courts host private lessons, social tennis, junior coaching from age four, and ITF and Inter-club tournament play. The team is led by Soren Hojbjerg (PTR Level 3, currently completing a Masters in tennis) and Yuriy Yudin (20 years coaching, ex-Ukraine), with Bruno Abelho heading sports technical direction. Equipment hire, holiday camps and competition training run year-round. Other sports Padel courts, the Desert Pines footgolf course, 5-a-side football, swimming pool and pétanque round out the outdoor offer. Fitness studio Spinning, body pump, pilates, yoga and stretch classes across morning, afternoon and evening slots. Multi-lingual instructors include Karen (clinical pilates and physiotherapy) and Susana Reduto (15+ years in spinning, body pump and personal training). Treatments An in-house traditional Chinese medicine clinic offers acupuncture, moxibustion, Tui Na therapeutic massage, pressure-point work and herbal treatments. Membership and access Annual or seasonal memberships suit both residents and visitors. On-site restaurant and shop. Open Monday to Saturday 8am to 10pm, Sunday 9am to 4pm.
