Algarve Surf School

Algarve Surf School has been teaching people to surf on the Algarve coast since 1996, based in Sagres at the western tip of Portugal. ASI certified instructors run small group lessons for all ages and levels, from complete beginners to surfers looking to progress, with a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere built up over close to three decades. The core offer is the Surf & Stay surf camp week: seven nights in a shared or private room, a complimentary transfer from Lagos, home baked breakfasts, daily beach lunch packs, five days of surfing with two lessons a day, board and wetsuit included, transport to and from the beach, two weekly yoga sessions between April and November, and sports insurance, from EUR 490. Standalone surf lessons for all ages start from EUR 65, and bed and breakfast at the surf hostel starts from EUR 70. A New Year's Eve surf week package runs from EUR 590. Alongside the surf school and hostel, Algarve Surf School runs its own surf shop in Sagres selling surfboards, wetsuits and clothing. Bookings for camps, lessons and accommodation run through the website's own online booking system.
