Falling for the Algarve is the easy part. Then comes the NIF number, the visa route, the bank account, the property paperwork, the insurance small print and the question of what happens to a UK pension when you live in Portugal. None of it is hard with the right people; all of it is miserable without them. This list is the short version of who to call, in roughly the order you will need them: relocation specialists who have done the move themselves, an Algarve law firm for the house and the residency process, an insurance broker that writes policies in English, cross-border financial advice, and a medical group to register with once you are here.

Founded by Gizem and Ibrahim, a political scientist and a neuroscientist who spent a decade navigating expat life before settling in Portugal, so they have personally survived the bureaucracy they now untangle. NIF numbers, bank accounts, housing, and visa applications across the D2, D3, D7, D8 and Golden Visa routes.
