Festas do Pescador honours Albufeira's fishing community with three nights on Praça dos Pescadores, running 18:00 to midnight and free to attend throughout. Food stalls serve traditional regional dishes: xerém, cuttlefish and squid in their ink, mixed shellfish, grilled mackerel and fried moray, alongside sweets like dom-rodrigos and fig cake. Friday's music comes from Duo 64 and Sangre Ibérico. Saturday is given over to folklore, with Albufeira's own Rancho Folclórico joined by groups from Alhos Vedros, Viana do Castelo and beyond for the town's Folklore Festival. Sunday closes the weekend with Némanus. Entry is free on all three nights. It is a fixture of Albufeira's September calendar and one of the few events in town still built around its fishing heritage rather than the beach season.
