Singer and instrumentalist Verónica Monteiro, born in Faro and now based in Silves, closes out the 2026 Animação de Verão season at the Fortaleza de Armação de Pêra. Performing in duo format alongside musician Tony Sousa, she works through an eclectic repertoire spanning Portuguese popular song and sounds drawn from further afield. As the final date of Silves council's free summer concert run inside the fortress, it caps a programme that has also included fado, folk and looped rock-pop sets across July and August. Entry is free and the show starts at 22:00, inside the small fort on Armação de Pêra's seafront.
