Yellowfish Transfers was founded in Albufeira in January 2010, originally as the travel agency Yellowfish Travel. The business grew into the wider Yellowfish Group, which also runs Yellowfish Guide (tour guiding), Yellowfish Beds (hotels and places to stay) and Yellowfish Adventure (off-road quad and buggy tours). Yellowfish Transfers itself is dedicated to private, chauffeured transfers for tourists and business travellers across the Algarve, Lisbon, Alentejo and southern Spain, with a particular focus on golf transfers to courses across the region. The fleet runs to more than 100 modern cars, estates, people carriers and minibuses, carrying between one and eight passengers. Every vehicle comes with GPS, a first aid kit, air conditioning, a free oversize luggage allowance and free baby and child seats. The company employs more than 140 drivers, all English speaking, insured and local to the Algarve, and says it transfers more than 22,000 passengers a month on average with a 97 percent customer retention rate. Bookings run through a real time quote and booking system on the website, where customers choose pickup and drop-off points from a long list of towns, resorts and golf courses, add passengers and luggage, and get an instant price. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the transfer, and a loyalty scheme gives a discounted transfer after every tenth booking.
