The Yoga Midwife

The Yoga Midwife is run by Rebecca, a former independent midwife with over 12 years' experience who now works in the Algarve as a birth doula, pregnancy and birth consultant, and prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher. Rebecca has supported women through home births, birth centre births and the full range of pregnancy experiences, and now offers 1:1 doula care, birth preparation sessions and courses, and weekly prenatal and postnatal yoga classes built around breathwork and easing pregnancy discomfort. Support also extends into the postnatal period, with home visits for postnatal care and breastfeeding support after the baby arrives. A typical starting point is the Birth Clarity Session (EUR 89), a 1:1 session to talk through a client's situation, answer questions and map out next steps; clients unsure where to start can first book a short connection call. Rebecca describes her approach as calm, honest and evidence-based, working with first-time mothers who want to feel prepared, women who feel unsure about the maternity system, and second-time mothers wanting a different experience. Services are offered both in person around the Algarve and online, so clients can get support wherever they are based.
