The Bull Bar and Restaurant

The Bull Bar and Restaurant sits in the centre of Praia da Luz, on Rua da Calheta, and has long been known as one of the village's classic English pubs. Inside, the walls and ceiling are hung with Toby jugs and other pub memorabilia collected over the years, giving the place the feel of an old-fashioned English local transplanted onto the Algarve coast. Outside, terrace tables make the most of the pub's position close to the sea, with some seats looking out over the water. On draught, The Bull pours Guinness, Strongbow, Boddingtons, Stella, Carling and Speckled Hen. The kitchen leans into classic pub food, with steaks, steak and ale pie and fish and chips among the specialities. Sports coverage plays on screens around the bar for anyone wanting to catch a game with a pint. The Bull is open daily from 10am to 2am. Just across the road, its sister bar Luz Tavern offers a wider range of beers, wines and sangria alongside a pool table and live entertainment, for those who want to carry the evening on.
