Santa Bernarda Pirate Ship

Santa Bernarda Cruzeiros operates the Santa Bernarda, a 75-foot two-mast sailing vessel built in 1968, as a cruise ship from the port of Portimão since October 2000. Boarding is at Cais Vasco da Gama in Portimão. The cruises take about 2.5 hours and visit the Benagil caves, where passengers transfer into small boats to enter the caves. There are morning, afternoon and sunset departures, and a Lagos coast cruise on Thursdays. A pirate bar serves drinks, snacks and souvenirs on board, and the site describes the ship as family friendly and wheelchair accessible. Tickets can be booked online, at the riverside sales stand in Portimão or at most hotel receptions.
