Peak Adventures Europe LDA is an adventure education company based in the Algarve, run under the strapline exploration, education and conservation by Matt Harris, Joe and Kylie. Matt is a mountain leader, rock climbing instructor, canoe instructor and kayak guide with three decades of outdoor teaching experience in Britain and Portugal. Joe is a qualified Mountain Leader with over ten years working with school pupils in the outdoors and on expedition training. Kylie, who was born and raised in Zimbabwe into a family of conservationists (her late grandfather founded the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force), leads the company's marketing and social media, and holds a Day Skipper qualification and a black belt in karate. For younger children the company runs Forest School days for ages 4 to 7, plus two-day camps: Dragon Camp (ages 7 to 12), built around fire-making and bushcraft skills, and Bear Cub Camp (ages 7 to 12), which focuses on water safety and the natural world of amphibians. For schools, Peak Adventures delivers Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition training and assessment at Bronze, Silver and Gold level, alongside excursions such as rock climbing, coasteering, bushcraft, trekking and cave abseiling. Its wider programme also covers ski and snowboard trips, river kayaking and star-lit camping, plus conservation-focused expeditions to destinations including Morocco's Atlas Mountains and the Sahara.
