Natura Garden Centres

Natura Garden Centres was established in 1993 in Almancil by certified landscape designer Jean-Claude Defrance, who moved to the Algarve from France, where he had helped build and run one of the region's largest garden centres. Drawn by the Algarve's climate, he set out to promote a more ecological approach to landscape design, working with the classic indigenous trees and plants of the Algarve alongside other varieties suited to the local environment. The Almancil centre carries a wide range of trees and plants, including flowering shrubs, climbers, bamboos, perennials, rock plants, water plants, cactus and succulents, together with environmentally friendly organic fertilisers and other garden support products. It also stocks teak garden furniture and flower pots imported from France and Italy. Natura Garden Centres trades from Estrada Vale do Lobo, Sitio Escanxinas, in Almancil.
