Some bars come and go. Matt's Bar has been the undisputed centrepiece of Albufeira's nightlife since 2000 — 26 seasons, thousands of unforgettable nights, and a reputation that brings people back year after year.
Located on the main strip in Albufeira's new town, Matt's Bar is a large, high-energy venue with a sprawling terrace, VIP areas, and a sound system built for a proper night out. The music policy is house and urban — resident DJs play every night, with a calendar of special guest appearances and themed events running all summer long.
The weekly programme is packed. Monster Thursdays (in partnership with Monster Energy) run every Thursday from March through October. Colour Abuse themed parties take over Friday nights — wear the colour, get a free shot. Special guest DJs including names like Dane Bowers and Mr JAC headline through the season. And the annual Sunset Party at The Waterfront beachfront venue has become one of the biggest events on the Algarve summer calendar.
Beyond the nightlife, Matt's Bar runs a hugely popular Boozy Brunch — the perfect start to a hen or stag day. Cocktail making lessons, group packages, and VIP bookings make it the go-to venue for parties and celebrations of all kinds.
